Title: s&m 1" [0.9"!!] clamp on rednck
Post by: generallee on September 24, 2007, 11:28 AM: im planning my holmes 1" build - but have a dilemma - I have a pair of Stupid forks, withthe 0.9" steerer for the clamp on redenck - I have a 1.1/82 redneck coming from usa [early one] but no shim to fit - so does anyone have a 1" redneck clamp on for sale, or a shim to fit 0.9" to 1.1/8" stems -
Ive tried a regular 1" shim - its too big! damn these early mid school sizes!

what i use is an old pair of threadless forks 1 1/8 and cut 2" of .then cut in a 3mm slit and ha presto a shim
the one at the back red cloured one

there was a gold shimmed out "1-1/8th on e-bay last week, was that the one?

i mailed the cat about shipping but he quoted a gut-wrenching $50 to post it!
