http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2007440811,00.html
£10,000, seriously ? Or is it some good investigation from the Sun ?
-
Word was that he is registered on this site ! So rumour has it ???
-
if its one of the actual bikes used in the film then its a shrewd investment :daumenhoch:
-
looks a bit like cotty...( admittedly a bit slimmer :LolLolLolLol:)

I was thinking the same thing , but in Leicester ? ???
-
I wonder how they can verify that it was actually used in the film?
Cool if he has got one of the original/movie bikes though. Especially the one that Elliot/Bob Haro rode.
I wonder if Mr Kasabian wants to invest in a small UK bike company ;) Either him, Alan Smith (ex-Man U, dunno who he plays for now!), or the blokes in Kaiser Chiefs/Arctic Monkeys who are also ex-BMX'ers.
-
I think the real question should be GET THE FOOKER POSTED UP ON HERE :daumenhoch: if you are a secret member then unzip yourself and lets see that expensive tool :LolLolLolLol:
Or pm me with pics an ill tell you why your first album is a cracker ;)

I saw that and wondered if he had been done , as it must be hard to prove its the actual bike , if it is then it must look like brens one he did as a elliot bike, and not the ET replica
be good to get him on here so we can have a look as that bike would be nice to see
Rich

well tell him i dont have time to listen to his songs then :yahoo_silent:
lol
good luck to him , i would love to know the story behind the bike and how it ended up in the UK
plus there must be a few film bikes that would be classed as elliots, as Haro rode as him i think , and that bikes different , so which one the stunt one or the filmed one
great think to own really an old school bmx , and a movie prop cool

In That Photo Of Elliot Sitting On His Bike The Bars Are Chrome... I Can Always Remember Them Being Annodised Red!

Now expect the OSBMX scene to explode and price itself out of most of our reach!
Look at what happened to the VW Camper scene after Jamie Oliver got his hands on one!
I can just see loads of Upper middle class 30-40 year old City types with bonuses to watse on someting 'Crazy' qeueing up to buy anything that resembles an old schooler!
I think that the Kasabian guy must be pretty mental to drop that kind of money on a BMX (Think about it, if you won a couple million on the lottery would you spend that kind of money on a BMX? I know I wouldn't)
But I think its a bigger shame that it ended up in the Sun newspaper (or should that be Comic!)
-
So is he a member on here :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
Come on dude don't be shy :LolLolLolLol:
-
It could be from the ET ride at Universal Studios loads of em lined up :LolLolLolLol:
I have a Tange Hot Heart; wheres my 22mm drill bit???? SuperbikeDan; frame coming your way ::)

a cleverly worded ebay item, but he does confirm it is a standard OEM frame in the questions, but it seemed mis-leading in the initial description ::)
talking of Pop Stars/BMX'er - I believe the Leeroy out of the prodigy was into BMX, as he had a post-Prodigy band named Flight Crank, named after the Redline's.....
-
Yep leeroy rode , with me , as was besty mates with him until i left braintree where we lived
he rode a few bikes but ended up on a Ripper with aero arayas
last time i saw him in about 99 he had an old kuwy I think and Flaz has recently told him about this place , soo he may come on

This ones going for good money
-
i like that as it looks used
-
Wow, nearly went for a grand :D
-
If it is the real one (and i must say I have my own doubts as I've been trying hard to track the original film bikes down, I've even been in touch with the guy who supplied them to Universal) then it is a very shrewd investment. Not just because it's the most iconic bike of all but you will have film collectors gunning for it. Although I think £10 grand was at the top of it's price and let's face it - if you had a big pile of cash hanging around then you most probably would but Leicester!! :wtf: If that bike had been literally 60 miles from me all the time I would go mad!!
I'd like to think they were like the minis from the italian job and were trashed after filming!
