Mark Masters from ebay sent me a TNT catalouge a while ago and it had one of those in it. Very, very nice bike parts he made too.
-
Two very underrated frames.
TNT had a great team in the 90s - Shaun Andrews and Curtis Last.
I'm sure S&M Alex will have Gossa's test of the Elf Double Cross circa 1992 from BMX News mag.
-
is that a kawasaki bmx i can see in the 2nd picture?

Oh go on then mike, since you asked! I've still got a few Elf pads and some race pants. Check the team, that was a hot team, Revell, Stobart, Oneil, Lynchy and me.

Quick release skewers on the two rides on the right .
Clive are you the 2nd ELF rider from the left?
-
Is that Darren Oneil? Top bloke, when we were pi$$ing around at C0cksmoors he of all the racers would have a chat & not treat you like a "burner boy" quote Jeff Dovey :)

Wish I was, that is the legend that is Tom Lynch, one of the smoothest riders ever to manual an 8 pack! I'm on the end with the pimp ass Moto4 helmet and the hard ano rims. 28hole with modified Ringle MTB hubs, Tom's running campy hubs.....
Clive are you the 2nd ELF rider from the left?

was that cos you and Tom had silly hairdressers cars and you had to take your front wheels out all the time to fit your bikes in? :LolLolLolLol:

Yes, Dazza is the man, he's just such a good bloke. Fast as fook too! These guys all were, I was probably teh slowest one on the team!

Are those skinwall dirt monsters on those beauties?
yeah mine are 1.75 dirt monsters with 60 psi in em and they feel awesome on the track, they feel a lot more precise than comp 3's in my mind :daumenhoch:
-
Hijack......................Any Elf bits floating around unused would make me smile too... ;)

Cor, that's one bit of my BMX memory that completely failed, as I never remember ELF having a whole team. I was tempted to buy an ELF Double Cross after seeing yours, but you told me at the time that you didn't really get on with it cos it had a twitchy/steep head angle.
Anyway, quite a stacked team of top riders. Makes me realise that sponsoring a team in UK BMX means jack really, cos ELF never became a household name in the UK, despite having a loaded team like that.
I wouldn't mind getting hold of one of those Webco frames that Dale was riding in the same issue, as that would make an unusual project. Don't see many of them around.
-
yeah i guess that was a pretty peachy team eh?
As for elf stuff, i've got some pads and some really gay aero elf race pants with my name on the back.
I've probably got a set of blue pads in pretty good condition, do you want me to look for them boys?
-
I'd definitely be interested in the elf pads dude... :daumenhoch:
-
i'd be very interested too please dude, but sort nic968 out first and i'll have the left overs :daumenhoch:

Hey Clive, can you post a scan of the Webco Mentos part of that test please, as Mad Dog has just picked one of those up and wanted to see what it looked like in full glory. Thanks :daumenhoch:
-
Sorry Mike, I only kept the picture of me (selfish twat eh?) email the Holmes, he'll have loads of pictures......you know Dale OK? If not i'll mail him of you but he loves chatting os trivia.....
-
;D No worries Clive. Yeah, I know Dale. Trivia King!
-
Mike, all he knows is what's in his Action Bike mag stash and every possible thing from the Kelloggs series, apart from that he's clueless!
He asked me Andy Pattersons team 'colour' from the Kelloggs the other day the knobber....blue of course........
I can slate Dale on here as word over on bmxtalk is that Billstup has banned him on here for defamatory RADBMX remarks!!!
-
Well, I can't really comment on that Clive, cos in the BMX world past, present and future I'm a nobody compared to the likes of you, Holmes, Fleming, etc.
I grew up riding my BMX with my mates every spare minute we had and the only info we received (other than going to the odd NE regional) of the BMX world outside of our little bubble was from the pages of Action Bike, Plus, Action, Bi-Weekly, etc.
Dales been around BMX for a long, long time and has experienced things first hand (as have you) that I have only read of in magazines. So I respect him for sticking with BMX and all the things he's achieved.
-
Only banter Mike, everyones a nobody in comparisin to Dale including me, he's done everything and he's one of the very few people i make an effort to keep some sort of contact with. full of enthusiasm and passion for bmx after all these years, man that is admirable.

Mike, just read your post again, you have your own bike brand fella, i'd say you are definately someone!!!!!
