Yeah ,never really gave much thought to how the brickhouse looked on there, but now that you mention it, it does look a little odd. I guess its just because i ride this all the time and love how responsive and easy it is, to get over into nose manuals. I am not a big fan of hang leg manuals so shorter stem solves that prob, at least for me.

Don't listen to me i'm a nob! Run it how it feels best!

not real sure what year it is, got it off of brianp on here, think its a mach one ,something to do with the size of the dropouts, like 98 model ?
-
yep, one email sent to standard when i got it and they said it was a '98. from what i can remember the serial no started 98****
although i've a '96 ride mag here with a standard ad in it, and the frame looks very like that one...
(love the white bars and forks mate :daumenhoch:)
Brianp.

strong old bus that matey,no brakes  a brave man :daumenhoch:
-
yeah i kinda had delusions of getting this thing down to 27 pounds :idiot2: but quickly realised that this girl deserved to be made tougher than leather, i think she's 32 pounds and i actually love how stable it is in the air on gaps, solid like a sofa.
-
the frame n forks hold alot of the bulk, wheels n bars can make a big difference on overall saving#
but fook it ,she dont need a diet ;)

96-95 werelike mkII as they had the extra gussets on the top of TT and the downtube.. for mkIII/IV they got rid of them i think, slimmed the dropouts a fair bit, then onto seatstay brake bosses. i LOVED my STAs. wouldn't mind having them back!
-
much loved mk3 ox-plat sta,
