Title: '85 UK King of the Skatepark
Post by: stan71 on October 13, 2007, 06:47 AM: Here are some clips of Neil Ruffell (Rip) Craig Campbell, Carlo Griggs , Jess Dyrenforth from Southsea King of the Skate parks in 1985. Apologies for the quality, but the tapes been in the garage for 15 years.

I loved watching his balls out style of riding. That front hop drop-in may not look much or spectacular but that's one scary trick to do in that bowl!

Wasnt the rained off day, the day when the US Skyway team were there? The pool comp didnt happen but it cleared up for the skyway demo on the hockey rink? I def remember getting the train down to southsea two weekends running to watch it all.

if you haven't found anyone by the time you next come to rom, i'll do them for you. i bought my first ever scanner about 4 months ago and so far have only scanned in about 5 photos.... i need to justify buying it.

Post by: welsh denny on October 14, 2007, 03:25 PM: some rad riding on there. didn't make it to the comps in the early days but still got all the old mags and remember the pics like yesterday. maybe a few of us should all pool together what old footage we have together and make a vid( should read dvd)? now thats a subject to debate.
