Title: Headset not havin any of it
Post by: ducati ste on October 20, 2007, 12:50 PM
Got my beartrap 2 headset, Fits the frame ok and the treaded top of my forks fits no probs. Look at this pic of the bottom of my forks i'm sure that this is not right. They are 88 streetbeat forks if it makes any difference.

Any suggestions

the collar hasnt gone far enough down, if its really tight run a file around it first then put it in boiling water to expand it, it should go on then, use a rubber mallet, available from wilkinsons for £2

Thanks for the info.

It's going to be a very tight fit. I did give it a tap earlier on must not have hit it hard enough.
