This may shock you both but it is a BMX! (sort of) There was a brief fad for downhill speed racer 'BMX' bikes in the late 80's companies like Hutch made bikes with fairings and everything!

People used to build a normal BMX bike but with the frame upside down. Then, they would put weights on the seat post (which was at the bottom) for stability, and squat behind the fairing, sitting on the BB shell.

Very strange????

Oh MY GOD!!!

I grew up in the early 90's

and loadsa kids by me had bikes like that usually made by HAWK.

the frames were identical to that haro one!

I always used to think they were rubbish wannabe mountain bikes, not some sort of downhill bmx racing bike?

 :D

I know a old bike shop which has at least 3 complete bikes like that in a pile of secondhand bikes. (ive seen them)

complete with wheels discs!
