Title: I think i must be in a minority of one!

I know they have a lot of history in BMX and so on.....but i have to say i don't like em! :-[

Yes this is a bit of a pointless post....but i needed to get it out of my system rather like an AA meeting ;)

Not to say I don't like them particularly I just have never wanted one or thought about getting one. I do appreciate some of the builds on here, but I have never seen a PK that I wanted.

I always loved the Quad though, so definately in the group.

i love the looptail ripper, asthetically they are a superb bike, cool as feck imho !!

Must say, i prefer the feel of my Quadangle or Trickstar as a 'rider' ;)

I prefer a nice Quadangle.

But the 19.5" TT one I currently have, although nice over the jumps and to manual does feel quite squirrelly/unstable down the first straight.

The Assassin was the opposite. Super stable down the straights, but I didn't feel comfy manualling or jumping it.

I really need to try a 20.5" or 21" pitbull PK to finally decide whether I still get on with Rippers like I did when I was a kid.

Post by: munners on October 24, 2007, 02:33 PM: Ripper was always 'the bike to have' when i was young. The name 'pk ripper' was unique in every sense. I even say to my 2 year old PK.......... and he says Ripper. It just stays in the head. Also the welding was like no other out there at the time. I own one and they rock but you cant beat a TA. :smitten:

PMSL @ Ripper Snapper ;)

I personally don't - my mate has a Quad which is totally beautiful - rides like a dream

The Ripper is a bike I've seen pretty much every time I come on Rad - I'm a big fan of all OS BMX but I do prefer the oddities/rarer bikes - not necessarily rare as in valuable, but one of a kind etc..

But then again all old school bikes ride like plop compared to a decent new school.

Not knocking any of the builds I have seen on here....they're all better than my attempt at building a bike (still just an f + f and some bits...lol) and there has been one or two that did actually make me look twice at rippers! but not generally my cup of tea.
