Title: Ebay - reasonableness
Post by: dialledbikes on October 24, 2007, 02:23 PM
Sold the Assassin on ebay on Sunday night.  No contact at all from the buyer despite a couple of chasing e-mails.  What's a reasonable amount of time do you think to call the deal off and re-list it?

I'm not bothered about leaving negative feedback for the no-show buyer, just don't want to wait forever for him to get his act together.

I always state on my listings that I expect the buyer to contact me within 3 days of the auction end and payment to be made within 5 days of auction end.

Then I will relist and report them to ebay.

personally i'd give it a week, it's school holiday's so the winner may be on holiday? I've waited a week before for payment before- no issues.., I have more issues with sellers not sending stuff

Does the buyer have good feedback ? If so i'd trust em for at least a week to respond

I think contact should be made within 48hrs of the item ending and payment should be completed within 5 days of the auction ending.

Never mate.  I love riding it, though I'm not sure it loves me back after the caning I gave it on the first straight step-up at P'boro on Sunday.  Every attempt to clear it was a rimmer :idiot2:  Worst one was in the first moto when I went from 4th to 8th cos I rimmed the step up so badly and it stopped me dead.  Good fun trying to jump stuff again though.

Send an email saying..."contact me before tomorrow at 12 etc.. else I will have to leave negative feedback" you'll soon get a response ;)

If I win something and know I can't pay for it within 5 days I'll ask them beforehand and then after if it's still okay to pay later..

But don't go leaving negative feedback until after reporting him, or he'll do the same out of spite!

Once you've reported him he'll lose feedback priviledges...
