Hi guys ive just been offered a piranha in apparently great condition with all pads etc!!! Is sixty quid too much??? ??? :-\ I know theyre not the best but need your honest opinion!! Cheers lis :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:
-
That seems a fair price to me :daumenhoch:
-
It's about £55 to much :LolLolLolLol:
-
Seams about right to me
-
i paid £100 for mine :(
-
i paid £100 for mine :(
sounds fishy ???
-
bugger got beaten to it,but here it is anyway, yep as long as your fish tanks big enough,go for it :LolLolLolLol:
-
:LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: Guess i asked for that one guys!!! Well spotted!!! :2funny:
-
ARE YOU SURE THE 60 POUNDS ISNT ITS WEIGHT? :2funny: :2funny:
DOES IT HAVE THE BANANA MAGS ON ??
-
:LolLolLolLol: it will be with my ass on it!!! :LolLolLolLol: Not sure til the weekend whats on it! apparently its all complete with padset!!! :daumenhoch:
-
if it's one of the first 2 models i'd snap it up as there is a serious lack of them in original condition. i'd pay more than that for one of the first 5 spoke models in good original condition. I've not seen one since the early 80's good or bad condition. Not complete.
-
Cheers :daumenhoch: all i know is that he`s had it from new and its dry stored since the eighties!!! Fingers crossed!! Sounds genuine enough to me!! ;)
-
Piranhas were a joke, made in England if I remember, heavier than a chieftain tank!!
But if its in good condition its still part of our history and worth saving, but don't spend too much on it, what would you rather spend your hard earned on, a piranha or a nice goose??
-
i'd sooner have the old piranha myself to be honest.
10 a penny the goose.
i'd deffo give that and a bit more.
had a silver and blue one with banana mags and loved it 8).
-
((((((beat me to it dave.)))))))))
Original gooses? ten a penny, Tony. Show me a piranha?
They were crap, granted, but along with the murray they were the first bmx's in my hood. i've had me eye out for one since i came back and ain't seen one yet.
-
Not a fan myself, I think £60 is £60 too much!
-
Cheers guys he did say it was blue! if its as old as he says it is then it should be one of the first! Like you say ten a penny! :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:
-
Well guys just spoke to sellers son who`s owned it from new and he said it has five spoke banana mags on it! and has been in store for last 25 years!!! :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch: Cant bloomin wait til tomorrow now to see what original condition she`s in!!! Will post a pic as soon as i pick her up and get home!!! ;)
-
i paid £100 for mine :(
sounds fishy ???
Make sure he doesn't bite your hand off!! :LolLolLolLol:
-
5 Spoke mags, now you're talking, rare as owt.... show us a pic Mr, go on , please :daumenhoch:
What colour is it?
Put it on the scales, to see how heavy it is...
-
Bloomin heavy apparently!!! So said original rider!! :LolLolLolLol: Didnt ask colour he`s phonin back at 6 so will no more then!! Pics will follow!!!! ;)
-
i never thought of my piranha as heavy. i know a lot had metal mags but mine had aero zytecs and i felt it was rather light.
-
let's see it then!
-
this was years ago... ;D it's been nicked since then.

thats a cool bike (especially for 50 notes)
gooses and skyways and the more expensive bikes are lovely no dout,
but most youngsters back then had the cheaper bmx's which because they where cheap and heavy have long gone.
to me they are the rare birds and worth collecting.
nice buy :daumenhoch:

So great to see that I was not the only Piranha owner. This was my first BMX, it was bought from a toy shop Rossmore Parade, Ringwood Road Parkstone, last time I was there the shops had been turned into some sWanky flats. Mine was Black with yellow push button pads, v bars and 5 spoke silver mags. I cracked the mags and stuck some mongoose steel rims bought from Ian holloway for £12, the cones always tightened when I rode to scholl and with no warning the back wheel would lock up, I had to turn it upside down and turn the back wheel backwards to undo the cones to enable me to ride a bit more. HA!. He also sold me some white redline push stud pads. I fitted some Oakley 3 copies and a shotgun 2 seat. Also had a Haro type 2 plate on it, man I loved that plate. So anyhow many jumps later I managed to crack the top tube and thought great I will get a new bike. No chance. Dad took it up to Coxys who cut spread the top tube apart, stuck another tube inside and welded the thing back together. Now you think a 6 stone nipper is going to get air on a Piranha any how? Well now it was the heaviest out there.
Great to see the advert, bikes and once again have something in common with some strangers.
-
that piranha rules
that pic of dave looking buff also rules
