How come when i look at some old bmx magazines, companies are listing Skyway Tuff III's
what are these ?
-
Horrible looking 'batman' wheels (IMHO)

-
i know they list those as Tuff III's now but i'm pretty sure i remember BITD that Tuff III's were what the alloy hubbed Tuff II's were known as!
i remember buying my blue Skyways from Surrey BMX as Tuff III's because they had the new alloy hubs ;)
-
hmm, interesting :)
-
when i bought my street styler (BITD) it came with those skyway 6 spoke jobbies which were advertised as TUFF III's
I think they are known as utility wheels now :idiot2: :idiot2:

i have some three spoke tuff 3's

er i mean lovely!!! and for sale!!!
i am saving them for the old school collectors in 2015

So what were the early Tuffs with the metal? (Well they look metal) hubs? They look like the normal alloy hub Tuffs but flatter. There were a blue set on here not long ago, think it stated they were 1979.

steel hubbed tuff 2s , they evolved into the ally hubbed tuff2s , fuk knows what tuff3s were
