Thats coz they are from the same stable...

Mark, I'm sure I told you this already but in case I didn't, and I hope this does not pee you off.....the wheels should have a red finish too, like the burner-type plastic coating.

It's funny, no one took the slightest bit of notice of mine at MK06! It's on the right in this pic:

And this is me in about 82 on my original one:

Yeah i know Si, just can't find any one to do them with a red lacquer yet, they are the correct cmc wheels though. theres a few things that need doing to make it original, like a snowflake chainwheel(on its way),oalkley 3 copy grips, sugino crank, aero seat(got 1) and suntour copy stem, but it looks nice as it is ,thats why i've left it like it.  :daumenhoch:

Did i mention i have a Nos decal set to go on it once i find a bright pearl white for it  :4_17_5:

Mark,

My original one and the two I had both had copy F1 grips...not 3's. And a generic 1 piece crank, not a Sugino one.

I think it looks good as is, and looked good before too!  :daumenhoch:

If I find a copy stem I'll let you know but all the stuff is still boxed up from the house move.

si, they must have changed the spec at some point or just used what they could get hold of cheap.
Heres some scans of a test on it.

If you can find that stem,it will be appreciated.

I have that mag too, forgot it showed oakley 3's but didn't see one with them BITD - guess that was an early one for press.

Great looking bike for £89 - I can see why I bought one!
