i found this photo today whilst having a clear out, i thought i'd lost it way back,
its my old college bike from 1999!
i rode this through the centre of edinburgh for 2 years,
the frame came in bright yellow so i painted it white and bought some GENUINE pk ripper decals from shiner for £10 posted!!!
sacriledge looking back, i loved that little bike though,
so heres a mid school >old school retro build, earliest i ever saw, just as all this OS stuff was kicking off!
ruption cruiser frame&fork, s&m redneck, 48h sun bfr/70's wheels,profile cranks,dna noser seat,s&m c4 low bars,other bits,

This is the bike I rode to Uni for 4 years. A 16" ally MTB frame with mostly 80s BMX parts.
I am just getting this bike working again so I can use it with a kids seat trailer. Its not got many of the 'nice' BMX bits on it now tho, but it does still have a BMX stem (shafted 1" shimmed out to fit in the threaded 1 1/4 forks)

i think it was called the "muhammed alloy" or some shit, i was seriously skint at the time though :daumenhoch:
fooker was like £60 for the frame/forks and brakes, the stem and cranks were from my "20 bike,
flag pole seat post too :-[
how much would that pk ripper sticker set be worth now though eh? :uglystupid2:
aftyer riding my "20 bike 7+ miles a day i'd have given owt for that big comfy seat alex!

the muhammed ruptions were the high end ones
there were some ok bikes in the ruption range
some were very entry level though
however it's not cool to say they were any good nowadays ;)

when i stripped it i found a T machined into the dropouts that had been filled before paint,

I had one of those ruptions to.
one of the best and def the cheapest frame I rode in a long time, saw off 4 back wheels and 2 sets of forks, can't find any pics of the bike, but I have a pic of a set of forks and bars after one overjump at a race (funny, i had mine painted white too):-
