I think i read somewhere on here about the new retro gen 1 that's supposed to be out in 2008 that Bob is involved in Haro more than we think? Is this true? I'm sure he sold it all off to concentrate on his design business....? ???
-
I think Bob still does the stickers and the soft product designs: t-shirts, kneepads, gloves, etc. but not much more than that - I could be wrong though.
-
bob doesnt give a toss for bmx,he sold the whole shebang to some taiwanese investment corporation and bought a fancy house/car,
he signs a few stickers every now and again but doesnt design anything,
he kept hardly anything from the o/s days :daumenhoch:

bob WHO :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
-
and he stopped running that fancy hair
pchaw.
-
found his company website:
http://axio-usa.com/
had no idea thats what he ended up as.
seems such a waste of his reputation / his iconic stature with 80's bmx kids , just to be making boring luggage now.
He could be minting it if he were designing prducts aimed at oldschool bmx'ers
that website and products is just sso second rate!
my brother in his 3rd year of his uni design course has Waaay better work than that.
-
He got into Kart Racing after selling Haro.
-
Yes, i'm sorry to say i have nothing to do with Haro apart from banging one out over the odd build that gets posted on here.
-
do you think people will buy the luggage 'cos of the creative director?

I think some of the comments on here are a little harsh.
He does not just make luggage - but also has a design / marketing business.
Bob H was at Rockford this year, speaks to people and asks valid questions, and I think is even having a bike built for him by a collector.
Lastly, I have had e-mails from him, the last only a few days ago about the Torker built Haro's - and he is very interested.

Interesting this... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Haro (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Haro)
Seems that Axia isn't a major part of Bob's business but instead this company is: http://www.harodesign.com/ (http://www.harodesign.com/). Haro Designs Inc seems more of a design agency. Some nice work... but he could have capitalised on this massive old school bmx thing, and made a fortune! :daumenhoch:
I wonder if he still has the odd rare Haro and parts stached anyway somewhere ???

I dont think he needs to!
I think a few of the comments are a bit harsh too!
He probably sold Hao for a tidy sum (he was probably loaded anyway)
He moved on to the go Cart thing 'Renspeed' was the company name I think
He also owns a Graphic Design company 'Harodesigns' and probably had major investments in a lot of things
I think that BH was very lucky to make a lot of money from what essentially started out as his hobby (how many people could claim that?)
I know someone that knows Bob very well and by all accounts from what ive heard, hes a nice guy that still does show a passing interest to the sport
He wanted to buy Biaggios Master off him a few years back (but Biaggio wouldnt sell or wanted too much!.....personally I would have just given to him as you just dont know what he might have given him in return!!!)
