any free bike is good
-
its deffo a GT... i can just tell by the rear of it :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:... my opinion is get it!
-
Can't really go wrong at that price!
-
Yeah, I thought GT because of the rear dropouts and the bit behind the seat. I think the chainwheel is Mongoose (one of them ones with the big picture of a mongoose on it)
It was just about to be taken to the tip, the bloke that took the picture said "Its a Redline Mongoose"
I will find out tomorrow :2funny:

looks like a goose to me
gooses had rear drops like that in the 00's
so what is it?
-
after careful scrutanising i'm swaying more towards mongoose!
the logo at the top of the drop out looks the wrong shape to be gt, mongoose were stamping a logo there back in the late 90's. the logo on the top of the seat looks mongoose,
if you google an image of a 98 dmc the seatstays are exactly the same shape.
can't pin point the model though. was thinking fuzzy to begin with but can't remember whether it had v brake mounts, which leans me to one of their base models perhaps, menace maybe?

This is the back end of my GT from the 90's, similar but not identical (chainstay brake not seatstay for example). It was a special edition 'Lego Robots' prize model, hi-ten frame, pretty low end stuff really but as it was similar I though I'd post these pics:

right its 100% a mongoose..................and its not that bad,the chrome is good, and the seat post is a redline one.
not sure of the model as it has no stickers what so ever and i know nowt about em.
i think in gonna clean it a bit and bay it :-\
