Post by: login_user on November 04, 2007, 02:54 AM
Ok, I was having a chat with Phil(sawzall) the other night and we got talking about cranks ,and when proclass cranks came into production. We both agrees on late 84 to early 85ish . Does anybody have any scans or adverts for them to see when they came out?
Thanks  :daumenhoch:

Would be 85. The first bikes they came on where the rupe and the cruiser as standard. They where then availble as an extra to fit to any bike in 86 ;)

OK, as I have an early pro class project, what cranks would have been standard equipment, 1 piece or another 3??

That's the one. Sorry 'bout the bidding, I set a snipe and forget about them nowadays - still manage to lose out to Subwax on Star Bars though >:(

I don't have any new pics yet, but what I can say is that it looks like the f+f was either a red bitd or was later 80's made into a dayglo pink :idiot2: Hard to tell really as there is not much residue left.

I'm thinking of a new colourway for it at the moment which will sort of be in keeping with how I think it may have looked!!

I've got 2lb of mirror black chrome powder coming from the US soon, there should be enough for a couple of frames if your interested.

Heres a link to the website that supply it,they have an example, but it's not that clear. When it turns up i'll get my mitygoose done,so i can compare it with the original proclass finish,

http://roseyspowdercoating.biz/osCommerce/catalog/index.php?cPath=34&osCsid=70lf6i16lm84qiq6p343amsoo1 (http://roseyspowdercoating.biz/osCommerce/catalog/index.php?cPath=34&osCsid=70lf6i16lm84qiq6p343amsoo1)

And yes they can powder over polished metal.  :daumenhoch:

It will be interesting to see how it comes out. I have seen that site before but as you say the pics aren't that good.

There are some interesting colours though, the gun metal blue would be interesting for DB Turbo applications, if only it didn't have the metallic flake >:(
