a few pics of chris young riding in a demo in cardiff in the early 80's. 84 perhaps? pics courtesy of chris fowler.

Yes I would say 84, that looks like a Sport  :)

Looks like Rob Bell in the background in the first pic  ???

i may be wrong
but when we got chris back to racing earlier this year
the bike he rode & im pretty sure was this white sport f/f

I used to ride in Cardiff around that time - anyone here know if 2 hot 4 U is still up and running? That was a great BMX/ skate shop

wicked pics den i remember going to that,its the first time i met phil bevan,tom martin asked my dad if we would take him home he had already rode from merthyr to cardiff which is 25 miles if i remember rightly mark anderson and ben dickenson were riding there aswell.glyn lewis was at that demo aswell i remember getting their autographs.

this you swanny?? havn't seen you for years if it is. i didn't make it to this, chris fowler took the pics and gave permission to use em. i know from the pics glyn lewis & rob bell were there. bevan- lost touch with him many years ago, last time prob riding his halfpipe in mynachdy in cardiff about 1989.

2 hot 4 u was a great shop. didn't last too long though. the owner ,Richard Lee (pretty sure thats what his name was) did a runner, and also other businesses over the years and got sent to jail. he 's prob out now somewhere, hopefully not still practicing dodgy shop antics.
