Post by: generallee on November 05, 2007, 10:08 PM

And now - this usa made 1989 GT Pro Freestyle Tour - this is stunning n the flesh. NOs, just the odd tiny mark. What I love about this is that the rear u brake cable routing... under bottom bracket barrel adjuster, and INTERNAL cable routing thru the downtube! ALso the forks have internal routing too. This is one coold frameset, i love it!

cable enters here

and comes out here! [frame is dusty at mo, pics dont do the paintwork justice!

serial number... the 8 is hard to see, but its there between the two 9's...   0 9 89 1193 and two letters... fs   [for freestyle!]

platform stamp

and finally - a choice of either left or right inernal fork cable routing - depends which side you dress!!

Nice finds!
I got 1 of those GT`s second hand in about 91 and for some reason found it 1 of the worst bikes to ride...

Probably just me being a crap rider then as now but just sparked a memory

Cheers FIL

i loved my dayglo pink one. that was until i broke it in half (i think it was the rippled re-weld on the toptube that did it............)
