Just wondering which freestylers rode for ammaco... ??
Anyone have any scans/links/clips... anythin' basically.
I have the bike, but was too young to know that much first time around.
Just a little synopsis of the history would be great.
thanks
Owen

I think that's a Supergoose, Andy rode the Magic Mountain race in the early 80's as Ammaco Mongoose rider as oppsed to a Facoty Mongoose rider although I could be wrong :LolLolLolLol:.
-
He may have been on one for advertising purposes, but I don`t think he ever rode one in competition or demo`s ???
-
or did he? check this i put up. sure he's riding a white ammaco.
-
ok this is what he told me tonight. whilst riding for them, he always rode a mongoose until just before he stopped racing in 1987 when he rode an ammaco and a robinson. he can't remember why he rode the robinson though.
he also told me what ammaco stood for. A Malcolm, Malcolm And Chris Organisation. I never knew that...

I packed up at the end of 84, but at that time Ruffell definately only rode a Goose. The teams were run completely seperately.

Sorry Trev, I think you and Randy Truffell are wrong here. Ammaco was indeed the UK importer of Mongoose, the efforts of Malcolm Jarvis. Malcolm formed the name after putting his and his wife's name together.
AManda, MAlcolm, COmpany.
Now you know.............
-
I've only gone on what Ruffs has told me...
-
thats a goose he's riding, check the dropouts.
-
blimey ... cant't keep up, confussed..... i thought it was Sue Jarvis? and I gave up racing in 86, and the Ruff was already on Raleigh by then????? ahhhhh rooms spinning out of control now!!!!!
