i am putting a bike together and want to get the correct year with stem, so what years for the
tuf neck pro model and the tuff neck.
doent have to be down to the very day :2funny:
but as a guild :daumenhoch:

The Tuf Neck Pat Pending is the older of the 2 Stems both are very early 1980's though. What bike you got and what year is it?

that pat pending one is real nice mate

original tuf neck was sqauure cornered no writing late 70s
then the square cornered pat pending 80
then the engraved tiger head 83
then the engraved head and the writing IE pro model
then the transfer
your pat pending is the earliest at around 80
the tiger head is around 83
although the bolts are non stock on your pat pend as they should be blackened steel as should the big nut and the wedge bolt

agree about the bolts, the fella i brought the stem from change them, but i will swop them over, from stem to stem, cheers for all the advice on years
