one thing that always bugs me is that i dont have any
photos of me on my bmx BITD :-[ :-[
well thats what i always thought but ive just come across this old photo of me
aged about 12 or 13. :D
the thing is i dont recognise the bike??? i remember all my bmx's from a kid
but the one im sat on doesn't ring a bell?
its definitely my bike because i now remember it being taken. to me it looks like
a mk2 chrome burner
i dont remember owning a chrome burner :-\ maybe ive just blanked it from my memory :LolLolLolLol:
it could be my prolite but im 99% sure that was chrome and blue.
any beady eyed people out there figure out what it is?
i know its a crap picture but hey thought id give it a go :daumenhoch:

bars and reflect0r make it unlikely to be a mkii chromo.
must be a mki, I think, chain wheel looks right for a mki chromo too.
the Burner boys, beard esp, will know.
i'm sure it's a burner.

are you thinking chrome burner mate. the cromo burner is a different model and it was a lot more expensive.
did they do a mk1 chrome burner? its
weired how I can't remember owning one???
-
yeah there was a mki chromo i think
it had no gusset...maybe.
get over to Burnerworld and ask there. Beard will know.
or wait for him to find your thread here, he will, eventually.
change the title to "ID my bike - possibly a Burner"
then he'll defo sniff it out.

Perhaps thats not your bike Dwain, could you be sitting on someone elses bike ?
-
there's a mki red burner lying on the ground, maybe that was yours?

i know Raleigh did a mk1 CROMO burner, it was gusset-less

what makes you think its a scorpion?

Its deffo a burner. I would say a chrome burner mark one and not a Cro-mo. Although its not easy to tell from the pic, i think it has a gusset, which would make it a chrome burnerand not a cro-mo.
Also it looks as if it has the dotty oakley copy grips (same as on the other bike in the pic in red and yellow, which is a red burner). If you look at the bar ends of them, they are 2 colours. They were like a browney beige outer, with black dots and flanges. The Cromo came with black tange grips. The Chrome burner came with black plastic sugino maxi cross pedals, and i'm sure thats what they are on that bike. The cromo came with custom M pedals
Also looks as though it has a chrome front hub, which would have been a sturmey archer hub, as where the cromo had black suzue low flange hubs.
Hope that helps.
Cheers J

Not my bikes but these are 2 chrome burner survivors- the grips aren't original on the bikes though.

did burners have round reflectors? looks a lot like a burner, but with bmx2000's and other cast iron shite around at the time it could be anything.

yes most of the mark ones came with a rear round reflector
