Title: Big Daddy time.
Post by: Capt Canuck on November 17, 2007, 08:37 PM
Ok got this finally rolling.

Got My stem this morning. So i put it together somewhat.
I had to get the forks straightened. but they look useable.(If anyone has some nice BD fork I'm interested)

So for now it's just like this. Still deciding what else I;'m going to use. Probably a 1pce crank with a 39 or 40 tooth sprocket.
Some diatech brakes.
I'm not rushing it by any means.

 Not totaly sure yet Dan.
Still need some wheels. well a front. I have a Super7x with nanakia freecoaster arriving this week.
I need a seat, seat post sprocket cranks and pedals.
I have some diatech brakes and will get some tech 77's for it.

If my master doesn't sell on Ebay i may part it and use some stuff on this. I don't really wanna get rid of it though. but there are other things I want more.

Im starting to really like these Big Daddies, I think the first one I saw was Dan's one ( or one of Dans ) at Rom a few years ago. At the time I didn't really have much time for mid skool stuff, but I really like it now  :)

Wow! nice frame.
So Now back my Build.LOL!
As I was saying. The fork I got was bent at the steerer tube and the drop outs that seller forgot to mention.
So Anyways water under the bridge I advertised for a fork and I got a NOS Superfork kit offered to me by kcmobmx

Alan!

Just some one piece cranks. Still looking for a sprocket. I like the one you have on your Green one.
I have some Primo tires for it. Need another Super 7x for the front.

Small update. Added some wheels, rear brake and grips.

Grips are Longnecks I got off Ebay. I bought 3pr and will buy more. they are my favorite grips.
Seat is a temp one as this one is sold. gotta ship it out.

So I'm looking for:
 mid 90's GT seat.
Some tech 77 levers.
upper and lower cables.
39-40t sprocket.
front brake. I may use a 990plate and brake though.

I'd go with the Dyno seat, it would look great if you chopped off the front end.

seats sold so can't use it. I want a nice mid school GT seat like on my Shorty.
Hopefully I'll have pics of it with the super fork for sure the week after.
Still debating whether to powder it or not.
