How anoying is this!
One of the guys here at the office has just come back from lunch and said that they spotted a chrome bmx in a skip full of junk down on the industrial estate, I asked him what it was and he said it had a 'GT Performer' on the downtube and looked a bit like mine. I asked him if the tube at the back was flat or slanted and he said it was slanted.
Thing is, it's now too late for me to go and have a look, plus I have to be home asap this evening as we're moving house tomorrow and I won't be back here till Monday.
as I said, noooooooooo!
-
Nip off to the 'toilet' for a min....
-
It's about a mile and a half away!
-
Tell em it was a big un...
-
Skip off early and use the moving house as an excuse!!!
-
Damn! Damn! Damn!
Just legged it down there and couldn't see it anywhere, turns out it's behind a small wall rusting away, I must have been about 10ft away!!!
Bo77ocks!!!!!!
-
Go again, tell em you have the runs....
-
Sounds like it's been there a while so it should still be there Monday (in theory), I just wanna take a look now!!!!
-
do you think I could spot it with that google satellite photo thingy??

I have it, dawn raid this morning yeilded a bike, not what I initially thought but may do for a winter ride.
Alas It's one of these, I think someone must have left it out in the sun too long.

ahahahahhahaa
there was actually a BMX marketed that had bars like that
it was called a "hi-jinks" - a bike shop near my grandparents used to stock it, circa 1984
the brand name escapes me. could have been a puch or murray
