i had all of them.

boxers were good for folding the front rubber mudguard flap, under itself so it rubbed on the tyre and made a motorbike noise.

i also had a tomohawk, that me dad bought me, my first bike, already unfashionable by the time i got one, but me mate had one and i thought it was cool as fook. my dad also fixed the centre console from a mark 3 cortina to the crossbar so i could get chips fromm the chippy on it.

i ran that set up for about a year...when i took it off, it was like pedalling on air.......you didnt realise how far you had to open your legs to get round a mk3 cortina console.

now thats a line i never thought id type.....

that tomahawk is a late one. the early ones had the high back seat.

i was gutted that mine had the low back

it meant it didnt have the white strap over it thyat said this bike is not designed for passengers, which was always handy for not givin backy's as it was "illegal"

Learned to jump on my sisters Striker because it was way cooler than my purple Commando. Then got a silver Grifter, what a machine  ;D oh and then an Ultra Burner Mk1 which was pretty natty at the time.

Always hated Choppers because they were good for nowt in my eyes hard to jump and shit for wheelies  >:D

Bombers are another hateful thing while I'm on the subject.

My first bike was a Budgie, purple it was.  Then I got a Tomahawk, early one with the high back seat.  About the same time I got a Yamaha TY80 and the push bikes didn't hold the same sort of appeal anymore.  I was only 5 though.

Are Raleigh Commando's worth anything ?

I saw one with the camo paintwork in our local tip during the summer, it looked okay, but I was with the wife and I knew I'd get the 3rd degree if I took it, so I left it where it was...... :(

anyone wants a Strika I got a Red one.

needs tyres and tubes and there's an issue with the free wheel...it's f***ed.

£10 if you can collect from cov/banbury/Watford
(the seat is in great complete condition, same as a mkii Grifter seat, so worth £10 on it's own)

Not to sure how much really ive seen  them go for varying prices on ebay...would have been worth saving tho , they've got to be pretty rare.
