I got hold of a pair of great conditioned DX's in silver. I sprayed them with red glass paint and it came out well. I put the lacquer on them and the lacquer has sent the paint weird. Looks like it has veins in it! Gutted cos i gotta do it again now and it was a mission getting it just right.
Has anyone got a pic of some NOS red ones so i can see the colour? I have never seen the red DX's.
CHEERS NICK ;)

well ive got issues here ive tried glass paint on about 8 or 9 items and havent got one good finish yet used plenty of paint stripper on em to get it back off though
-
i did some blue. i used 2pac lacquer with letraset ink in it. they look spot on. ;)

Nic, your better off using the red rear light tint spray for cars. that glass paint is water based the minit lacquer goes near it it will disolve it,also i found with the glass paint it gets tacky when warm. :daumenhoch:

That looks different class!
I get carried away and end up smashing the paint all over! ! How often do you put a coat on? Also how do you paint them, with them standing up, on their backs or hang them up and paint them?

Nick,
Heres a pic of a stem cap i done with the light tint. You can make it as dark or as light as you want by the amount of coats you do.in my personal experiences i've found you get better results then with glass paint. but you have to wait for it to dry between coats and not try to do it all in one go. :daumenhoch:
