Weird to think our paths crossed 25 years ago, but I didn't get to know Hudu until about 3 years ago and Billy Stupple last year.
That day was one of my most memorable BMX days ever. Doing gates with Andy Patterson and pestering Bob "Mid-Air" Medrano to keep doing tabletops.
This lad we used to ride with sent Patterson flying over the gate cos he didn't drop it on "go". Patterson gave him a lecture on how to gate start!
-
yes hudu!
i went to that!
there was a later graves show by the "blue tile freestyle" team, dave slade and co,
freds son died didnt he?
AB wheels eh?
now that brings back memories!
my mongoose motomag came from there,
good pics dude,
i was at your trails last week
-
Chris Simmons and Jason Maloney were the Diamond Back riders, and Dean Scott-web was there too
-
billy was barrie running the team then ,if so i will send him these tonight
-
Joe/Hudu, which skoyls/skosh did you go to in Sheff? I went to Arbourthorne, Ashleigh and Hurlfield (the latter 2 are now long gone).
Sad to hear that Jamie Hunter passed away, Joe.
The Demons was a very slickly run team thanks to Freddie Hunter.

Yes he was Dan, in the 3rd pic with me jumping the rolls you can see Barry in the background doing the MC job, and thats Dave Young kneeling down at the front with his back to the camera, and it was the second demo of the 83 tour, Rad City being the first
-
i will mail it of then, cheers boss
-
And that must be Dean Ellison the Skyway MD at the time thats standing next to Barry
-

Hey Billy, I have another 20 or so pics from that day. Maybe when I get time I'll scan some more in. I hear you hit up Herne Bay the other week. Enjoy it? Did I build it long enough for you?
Mike, I was at Bernards Comp in Rotherham back when - I'm not a proper Dee Daaa ;)
Joe, hows the trails looking? I'm based over near Manchester now, so not been over for a while. New stuff to dig this side.

I`d love to see those pics hudu, and yes the herne bay track is plenty long, I`m used to the forth straight being the last one, but at Herne Bay there`s another 2 to go, it`s a cracking track though and I look forward to racing on it in the summer.

Sweet that the kids are tending the trails. they ain't that big man - just use your imagination to fill the 20 foot pits in and you are sweet. ;) Hows Chadsy doin'? he still shredding?
Oh...and the Rotherham Comp I mentioned up there was the Comprehensive school ya big eejit
The bike comp you mean must be either the Carve Jam or the one at The school at clifton with the banks. Both of which went a bit mental.

on my pro-lite and the front wheel coming off in mid flight :idiot2:
i cant wait to see some more pics
did you get any of when fiola came?
-
Im really sorry John but i am pissing myself with laughter thinking what people must have thought when you were mid air with no front wheel. Not a bad thing to be remembered by. Did you style it out when you got off the deck?
-
Did you style it out when you got off the deck?
if you class stacking it big time with a no handed face plant , styling it out. then yes!! :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
i still remember it clearly. whipping of the burm and pulling hard as i tried to bunnyhop the gap but as i lifted the front end i saw my wheel disappear into the bombhole and i was in flight  :2funny:
when i got up out the dust i was met with howls of laughter and no one came to see if i was ok :-[
id had the wheels of for some reason earlier and clearly forgot to tighten the front.
i never made that mistake again ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D
-
so that must be the rolls royce your swear you didnt jump then bill ;D
-
I just seemed to have forgotten a lot from back then, but it`s all coming back now with the help of the photos :daumenhoch:
