Title: CRANK PROBLEM - PLEASE ADVISE
Post by: kuwahero on December 17, 2007, 12:28 PM
Hey Guys

I purchased some Suntour VX cranks from the evil bay, which I was going to restore. However, >:( I have been shafted and the non drive arm is twisted. Its about 10-15 degrees out of line as the square taper hole is deformed.

Is there any way I can get this repaired or has anyone got a spare single crank arm.

Any help would be appreciated

Marc

If you can't get a replacement arm, then I reckon an engineering shop could machine the square hole true again and fabricate some sort of shim to take the gap up.
