i love the look of these f+fs, i have seen them in the bmx museum but am not sure if any radders have one?
i would love some info/pics on them if possible and some idea on rarity and whether they are actually any good :daumenhoch:
-
Think there was one on ebay.com earlier today - looked very cheap, about 130 USD for the frame!!
-
rode one of the single top tube ones, twas huuuge. big 5" headtube if i remember correctly. Was ok though. The twin top tube ones were a bit gimmicky..........from when platforms started growing outta every bit of the frames... :idiot2:

I have a thing about the RL20-II its a nice bike...and if it was good enough for RL Osborn...then its good enough for me...
If you cant get an RL20-II, then a Redline FS880 is a pretty good substitute...

I've got one of the earlier ones too, rosscoe's correctamundo - huge bike, big headtube. Haven't finished mine because of not finding a bars and stem to look right on it to compensate for the size. Had forklifter bars and stem and they make it even bigger and gangly looking. Nice scans Snav btw....

An 85 - 86 RL20 II ( 1st year of production) is the frame set I have posted, I believe this is the only RL20 II with the rear frame stands that run directly into the chain stay... lets just say they are very rare. Later RL20 II frame sets had the frame stands that bent in at 90 deg. Also the very first RL20 frames came in all white, no chrome rear end, only a very low number made... 150?
The bike that Mark J has is a totaly different bike, it's the RL20 Prostyler, his looks like a mk2, the first ones did not have peg holes. This model bacame the RL20, and was run alongside the RL20 II, the RL20 II being the top of the line Freestyler. The RL20 also gained frame standers on the chain stay. Redline also had a Tri Moly version the RL20a.
I'm by no means an expert on Redline Freestyle bikes, I spent more time looking at Razzle than BMX Action Bike in 1985, so if I any one can give a better run down then fill your boots
:daumenhoch:

looking at Razzle
then fill your socks
Those were the days. :-[

That was my nans boxing day sofa- its not my living room I'm not that garish. She was slinging the 3 piece suite out and it had too many memories so hired a van and did a 500 mile round trip to rescue it. Lovely ain't it .....
