Are there different types or are they all foam?
Are all black ones rare?
-
Are these "Grab On MX3's" in the picture below? I am guessing they are as it looks like they say it on the end :2funny: Did they do a Grab On MX2 and if so would NOS all black one be rare?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not by me anyway i wouldnt have liked to have performed too many "stunts" with them anyway

i didn't mind them. they were comfortable but wore out quickly. here's my quicksilver from 1981 and you'll see it has got black mx2's on it.

I ran MX2's for a while they were OK but wore out very quickly.
Never got on with the MX3, didn't like the way they looked :-\.
-
let's see. the original grab ons were just a foam grip with a plastic end cap. mx 2's were 2 piece, they had a nylon tube with a foam sleeve that slid onto it. the mx 3's were 3 piece, similar to the 2's but had a removable end cap and were a bit more robust. BITD you could buy the foam sleeves on their own to replace the torn ones.
colours were: red, yellow, blue and black. all foam sleeves were black.
time line is: originals and mx 2 pre 1981, mx 3 were after 1981.
