from the crossbar they look like they could be "slam specials" :daumenhoch:
they were like a heavier gauge, street version,
i could be wrong though :LolLolLolLol:
give us a shout if you let them go ding's!!??
-
Apart from the real early ones, I struggle to know what slams are what. There were soooo many different shapes of them, as they got made is loads of different places at the start.
No help at all, sorry.
-
as i am after an early set ,then from what alex advised me on
then 1994 onwards possibly dingo.
-
based on colour, artwork and shape I would say 2004 ish
-
Thanks guys :smitten:
They have a "specials" decal on there so Joe might be on to something?
:) DINGO :)
-
Yeah, they're Slam Specials.
Super think tubing for the heavy duty era around 2000 when every little part was beefed up. They didn't make em for long.
-
The specials are circa 99-00. There may be a copyright date on the Ambulance sticker.
-
All I see in that photo is the Challenger and Holmes frames on the floor. :D

Question and thread hijack-
I'm guessing by the serial number on the Challenger that it's a Challenger Pro. Does anyone know what serial numbers a Challenger XL would have?
-
not sure ryan mine is a 21"tt and a fairly earlyish model 1"challenger
serial SCL 1211
-
That must be it.
SCP = S&M Challenger Pro
SCL = S&M Challenger Long
Okay, now...anyone want to sell or trade theirs? :)
-
I guess Im too late to answer the question, but I have got a 1" challenger and an Oversized challenger, both nice and long, both "SCL----"
-
That's what I want Alex...
A Challenger XL, 1" threaded, no brake mounts, with gear chart sticker in red or chrome, with forks... :smitten:
-
I'll take one too...
Wow. We have a problem. :uglystupid2:
-
I wanted a 1" with canti mounts. I like that the wish bone makes more sence with canti mounts, and canti mounts are so RACE. I guess I will have to make do with my 990 mounted one. I just gotta get the decals sorted!
