I've already asked the guy to post up the serial and its location on the frame to see if that will help. I'm sure one of the lads on here will recognise it instantly though :)
-
fook me theres a bit of everything in that one.....
i dont remember ever seeing one of those .

dont like the way the chainstays meet really low on the bb very mk1 burner style ,ie chainstays flattened and welded on to the bb underside
-
I think it looks kind of funky; be interesting to see what the quality of the welds are like and who it's made by. Here's the pics...

I've had a response from the seller and he said:
"I have just looked over the frame and there is no serial. I even tried some wet and dry to remove the primer but there is nothing, only the initial and surname of the person I bought it from in the 1980's"

it looks like a Faze 7 from these comparison pics.

Faze 7 was a shop wasn't it, did they do their own frames?
-
yeah they were a shop and did there own stuff. they are now a skateboard Distribution company who own/run Blueprint Skateboards.
-
i'd hazard a guess that the frames were made in the same factory and were its prob both rebel and faze 7 freestylers. both were reynolds made, all you gotta do is diff stamp no's and diff decals. thats my opinion anyway.

Just wanted to bump this as I just bought it off the bay. Getting it delivered tomorrow.
Until I have it in my hands I wont know for sure, but im pretty certain that its a FAZE 7/ Rebel frame and DP Firebird Freestyler forks. Check the fork dropouts and the cable hole halfway up the left fork. Looks like DP to me.
Perhaps the original owner (from Newport) broke the original forks and replaced them with the DP's as isnt DP welsh
