Title: Freewheel removal – which tool?
Post by: Stevo on January 07, 2008, 08:48 PM
Guys, I would like remove this freewheel from a Haro Sport 06. Anyone know the manufacturer/model of the tool needed.

A supplier would be helpful too. Cheers

It's a screw on lock ring, you should be able to get it off using a flat bladed screwdriver and a hammer, tap it anti-clockwise to undo.  You can see the the mark close to the word "LOCK" where it's been tightened up using the same method  :daumenhoch:.

ALL I DO IS GET A GOOD SCREW DRIVER

LEAVE WHEEL ON BIKE AND GET SOMEONE TO PUT FOOT ON PEDAL AND JUST CLOUT IT ANTICLOCKWISE

DOES THE JOB A TREAT

Thanks guys, I did try it with a screw driver but it wouldn't budge. I will try again as it seems this is correct way to remove it. Cheers

get yourself a C SPANNER from your local cycle/HW store :police: this will avoid damaging the lock ring....
