Title: VANDERSPEK REPLICA - PARTS ID HELP
Post by: kuwahero on January 08, 2008, 02:22 AM
Hey Guys

My new project is gonna be a Dave Vanderspek Kuwahara replica. Dave was on Kuwahara for a short time and rode a Bravo KT. I have found very limited images of him on this ride and am struggling to identify a couple of parts and decals. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I need to know what the tyres are, seatclamp which you cant see. I know its black and look like a tuf neck or was it a kuwie one. I also dont know what the number plate is or any of the decals on it apart from the Off Shore and Kuwahara logo.

Thanks in advance     Marc

I know different spec complete factory bikes came with either painted Tuf Neck Freestyle Stems or Anlun made Kuwahara Freestyle Stems.

This is only a guess, but I reckon the seat clamp would be a kuwahara one, similar shape to a tuf-neck.

I'll see if I can confirm that or not  :-\

Thanks moose. For what I have already found it looks like a Tuf Neck but just not sure if it was a Kuwie stamped one or not.

Thanks mate i'll check in to it. Do you know anything about them or have pics, etc. I rceived an email from Maurice Meyer today which has been very helpful, especially with the plate decals.
He thinks the plate is made by Prime, apparently Dave was getting plates from them around that time. He has given me the details of the guy who ran prime then so hopefully he will be able to tell me.

Fingers crossed   Marc  :daumenhoch:
