:) After several years of trying,I now have the startgate mech at home. The track needs a bit of work, but is otherwise ok.Would anyone else be interested in holding a race or 2 in the near future? Any advice/help appreciated!
Cheers,
James

This track and a few of the characters that I have met there are what got me back into riding a BMX. It is a really easy track to ride, proper old school, and will be great for beginners or for those that are worried about wrecking an old school bike on big jumps on modern tracks. Here's some pics of the track. Will try and hunt down some action photos if I can

I'll have a dabble :daumenhoch:
-
me too..
-
maybe you should start getting a list up james.
Just for the lads that are interested, I know that james has put a lot of work in trying to get the gate mech, and has battled for years, mostly singlehandedly to get this place used for more than just racing remote control cars on it. He's definately the man to make a success of this if anyone is.
-
i'll come for a heckle... :daumenhoch:
-
A heckle? Your`re going over the big berm!

I raced there years ago.. the track is l--o--n--g!

Christ not seen any pictures of this place since about 1986-87 had some good races there bitd. What happen to the other track in Rochdale after this one?
-
roch valley raiders track is still there, but the surfaces is pretty eroded. shame, as its a good track, mostly all downhill!

I live in Rochdale and would be up for a play. Cool
Shame I have to drive all the way to places as far as Kent to do my work....which is building these things....

That's Herne Bay Ron, and why not? 8)
Could do with a roof on it OD, I reckon Humps could knock one up out of 2 x 4 and bits of old corrigated iron. Watch that space.
