were these grips around in 1990 ? as looking for some jives for my robbo, thanks for any help guys :daumenhoch:

there clear, and red or blue, they look nice, must admit i was trying just for black, as got rid of the red bits, so i might see if any black jives come up, they are nice though ::) thanks rob, :daumenhoch:

I used black Jive grips for much of the early 90s. They were pretty much the same as the ones you can buy now. I think the end plug was different. I think on the early ones the grip went over the end of the bar and had a little bar plug that youd put on under the grip. There are a few different grip patterns. Handles were the ones I used to use.

On a NS tip, United Bikes have a new grip called the UJive. Very similar to Jive grips, very thin and feel great. Ive just fitted a pair to my bike. Here is the 4Down info on them:

Yep, they have got the "over the top" bar end, not the "under the grip" ones. Other than that I think they are the same.

thanks alex i kmew you would know about these midschool things ;) and paul the black pnes are spot on, extreme direct on ebay are only showing the red and blue ones, but the vlack ones are spot on, thanks mate :4_17_5:
