Came across this pic of DMC, that fall must have been painful. :'(
Wonder what he was trying to pull off, a flair? Maybe too early in the decade for that.

Chances are its the Team Extreme portable ramp. It has some vert, just not much.

Standard stuff in those days to only have 1 inch of vert - no one had invented it then!

Straight flip fakie during his run at the Backyard Jam.
Landed flat bottom, full body slam, jumped up and did his usual "I'm okay" wave to the crowd, then hurried round the back of the ramp, out of sight, extremely winded. That was a sore one.
There's a sequence of it on "Get Up" video from the same year (not uploaded onto YouTube yet unfortunately).
