Not happy news today, went to the hospital for a check up on my leg.
Surgeon says all the fragments have not healed properly yet so im in the cast for another month, then they will take the big screw out! :'( I thought it was comin out in 2 weeks.
 This is doin me fookin swede in i tell ya. All i wanna do is ride man, and it could be 3 months before i see another transition. Daaaaah Sh*t!
Can anybody tell this is my first serious injury lay-off or what? ;D Spring cant come soon enough like.
I think i shall have to amuse myself with some retail therapy in the form of "the finishing touches" for my proper.
Steve Aust.........sorry, The "R" ;)
-
stick with it buddy
had a few probs that put me back
but i am riding again ,against all they odds.
you will soon get fixed :daumenhoch:
-
blimy sean i put it down to the cold weather as my foot took 9 months to heal
when i shatterd it 10 year's ago .and stil got the pin in it
you will be riding soonish mate .it will be worth the wait
-
Cheers Dan, i know this is daft compared to what you been through mate. But its so frustrating aint it?
Rhys, i know i just gotta chill with it, cant do a lot else.
Must be patient i know.
Cheers guys.
Sean. :daumenhoch:
-
Sorry to hear that Sean.
Hope you get better soon. Was good to see you on Saturday mate. :daumenhoch:
-
Likewise Trev! :daumenhoch:
Carlo got any green LHD back wheels yet?
-
Chin up fella. I'll send you a link in a mo to a fella you might want to see for another opinion.
As Dan says, stick with it :)
-
sean mate, the exact same thing happened to me, one more month on crutches and no trying to walk,
it was a killer considering i had already had two months of not walking, chin up mate and it wont be
long before you join the elite injured warriors club ;D
just watch the riding and talk about bitd ;)
-
Sean, hang in there, it wont be long.
Anyway, what a time of year to be out. The weather SUCKS! I bet many fit people are riding just as little as you right now.
-
hang in thier mate
there is light at the end of the tunnel
at least they said you can ride again
-
keep drinking that milk :daumenhoch: and will it better
-
Aaaaaaaaaaaagh! :tickedoff:
It appears i am not healing as my surgeon had hoped! So my op has been put back ANOTHER 2 weeks! :-[
On the plus side, i am now out of my cast and swanning around in one of those daft "aircast" boot jobbies. :crazy2:
And he also said it was one of the worst fibula breaks he has seen.....nice one! :daumenhoch:
So if this date holds for the op, it will be 3 months since my "accident" and thats before the physio :'( I fear this has "six monther" written all over it?
*note to ones self: keep hands on grips at all times ....you fookin goon!
The "R" ;)
-
chin up r it will all come right in they end. :daumenhoch:
-
Look at it this way; You could still be reet for the summer ;)
-
Best of luck with your recovery Mr Ringer. Hope to see you back soon. :daumenhoch:
-
with various injuries over the years i've prob spent a year or more of my life in plaster, etc and many months after that as therapy to try and regain the strength on various limbs etc. at times its hard as you just wanna ride but take your time recovering or it can put back in square one. it'll be worth it in the end.
plus its so cold at the mo you aren't missing much ( i hibernate in the winter as my leg gives me so much gip in the cold)
-
This is b*llox, ive just got the date through for my operation.............fookin 11th April!
I cant believe this sh*t, talk about a kick in the nuts! I had a really down week lastweek, and i had perked up a bit...until this morning when that arrived.
Im so bored of this "groundhog day" existence, its all a pile of shite. :tickedoff: Aaaaaaaaaaaaarggghhhhh!
:'(
-
Really gutted for you mate.
-
Man thats a long way off, what a load of bull shit.
Have you thought about seeking advise privatley? I know it'd cost though
Cheers
Paul
-
fall over on the floor !!!!!! pretend ......then call an ambulance
scream like a girl in hospital what ever they do dont stop complaining then they might do it straight away ;)
-
Went for my usual x-ray this morning and saw the head surgeon, he looks at my "snaps" and says; "why the hell is that screw still in there? Come in tomorow and i will take it out for you" :daumenhoch:
You fookin beauty! Best news ive had in a long long time. Just the physio now then :2funny:

fantastic news mate :daumenhoch:
looks like its gonna be a great summer ;)
-
careful Rob, they don't call him the ringer for nothing. he'll come up to corby and pull a perfect backflip first time out... ;D
-
Think i will probably be handing my title over to you Rob!
I fear my progression ended on that night in early December, i'm still gonna ride but the thought of something like this happening again scares the shite outa me at the moment. Gutted though, there's so much i wanted to learn and enjoy doing on my bike. :-\
One step at a time i think is the answer here!
Sean.
-
Great news mate.
See you down Charlton in a few months with a bit of luck.
No silly games for you though mate.
Keep both hands on them bars.
-
i heard he's still got two more attempts to pull the one hander....
-
reckon he will be super glueing his hands to his bars!
-
Good news mate it won't be long now and you should be ok for most of the summer
-
glad to hear it r ,take it easy thou and youll be pedaling about real soon.
dan
-
Crap news dude but keep yer chin up!
You'll be riding soon enough, patience is virtue in its aspect of sufferance.
