Title: Bionic Leg update - Bloody NHS!
Post by: Sean 2000 on January 21, 2008, 07:43 PM
Not happy news today, went to the hospital for a check up on my leg.
Surgeon says all the fragments have not healed properly yet so im in the cast for another month, then they will take the big screw out!  :'( I thought it was comin out in 2 weeks.

 This is doin me fookin swede in i tell ya. All i wanna do is ride man, and it could be 3 months before i see another transition. Daaaaah Sh*t!

Can anybody tell this is my first serious injury lay-off or what?  ;D Spring cant come soon enough like.

I think i shall have to amuse myself with some retail therapy in the form of "the finishing touches" for my proper.

Steve Aust.........sorry, The "R"  ;)

Sean, hang in there, it wont be long.

Anyway, what a time of year to be out. The weather SUCKS! I bet many fit people are riding just as little as you right now.

Aaaaaaaaaaaagh!  :tickedoff:

It appears i am not healing as my surgeon had hoped! So my op has been put back ANOTHER 2 weeks!  :-[

On the plus side, i am now out of my cast and swanning around in one of those daft "aircast" boot jobbies.  :crazy2:
And he also said it was one of the worst fibula breaks he has seen.....nice one!  :daumenhoch:

So if this date holds for the op, it will be 3 months since my "accident" and thats before the physio  :'(  I fear this has "six monther" written all over it?

*note to ones self: keep hands on grips at all times ....you fookin goon!

The "R"  ;)

with various injuries over the years i've prob spent a year or more of my life in plaster, etc and many months after that as therapy to try and regain the strength on various limbs etc. at times its hard as you just wanna ride but take your time recovering or it can put back in square one. it'll be worth it in the end.
plus its so cold at the mo you aren't missing much ( i hibernate in the winter as my leg gives me so much gip in the cold)

I cant believe this sh*t, talk about a kick in the nuts! I had a really down week lastweek, and i had perked up a bit...until this morning when that arrived.

Im so bored of this "groundhog day" existence, its all a pile of shite.   :tickedoff: Aaaaaaaaaaaaarggghhhhh!

Think i will probably be handing my title over to you Rob!

I fear my progression ended on that night in early December, i'm still gonna ride but the thought of something like this happening again scares the shite outa me at the moment. Gutted though, there's so much i wanted to learn and enjoy doing on my bike.  :-\

One step at a time i think is the answer here!

Sean.

Crap news dude but keep yer chin up!

You'll be riding soon enough, patience is virtue in its aspect of sufferance.
