http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320211140654&_trksid=p2761.l1259
this twat needs sorting out..have mailed him and told him it aint no laserlite, and he's responded saying he knows, but hasnt changed the listing!!
i know most here know there onions, but laserlites seem high on peoples want lists at the minute, so it would be a shame if someone got caught out on it...
-
what is it then? and are those Tuffs yellowed or what!
-
it is one of the generic frames from the far east, not sure who made them but often you see the same drop out and a serial GO or GA etc, same as my Predator

Thanks for the heads up JT not after it myself but its nice to know people here are lookin out for us all.
To me its one of the big draws of being a member on Rad :daumenhoch:
-
bids are still piling in for it as well.... :(
shame..will end up another stung punter by the looks of things.
-
can't you report him to ebay if it isn't a genuine article?
-
looks a lot like a frame i picked up nos from some bike shop cellar the other week.
someone ID'd it as an Akisu, or something like, just obtained some NOS forks for it of a great seller on here. :daumenhoch:
-
i mailed the guy last night to tell him it wasn't a laserlite this is what he said
I will take that into consideration... thats how I purchased it though.

It is infact a Kuwahara of sorts. It was produced under licence by Everything Bikes when they had Kuwahara as an entry level bike for around $160 the model was low spec and is called a Pantera. It came out around the same time as the Nova.
Fortunately he has set the starting price stupidly high so no one has bid on it yet.
-
I forgot about the Pantera and also the Scamp etc but it defo is not a laserlite, even one of the later 80's ones!!
-
not a laserlite 3000

Just like to echo the sentiments already posted stating that it's great that there are chaps out there like J.T. trying to keep things honest and straight out there. As somone who has only very recently got seriously reacquainted with bikes from 80s I think it sad that there are those out there who are quite prepared to make a fast buck by flogging cheap imitations as the real deal.
Anyone who has an interest in buying vintage vinyl or trainers has had to put up with chancers like this for years, it seems old school BMX has its own minority of gits too...shame :(
-
Lets hope that because he has listed the serial numbers that whoever is going to spend their hard earned on it will check first.
-
people dont check..they dont know where to for starters...people generally find RAD and alike after they have bought there first bike off ebay...that seems to be the common thread amongst a lot of recent radders...
it certainly happened to me! although i was lucky and half knew what i wanted...
i recently bought a laserlite from a dude in america...paid half decent money for it too...got here and the frame was twisted...
what can you do? had alredy left feedback before i realised the problem...so there are always gonna be chancers, but this twat is just blatant....
i've just had another mail off him saying thats how he bought it, so thats how he's selling it...so i reported him to ebay...
:Aresehole:
-
thats the response I got off him last night but was giving him time to change it or I was going to report him. well done for doing it as he blatantly aint going too :Aresehole:
can you pm me how you go about it and I will report him aswell
cheers Marc
-
