decided at 10.30 at night im gonna take the gold off my sugino chainwheel because im pissed, ive battered it in nitromors and come back in from the shed for another tinny , am i wasting my time and should i get caustic soda 2 moro, its fun in the shed when ya pissed :santa_cheesy:

when i am successful in getting it off , what are my options , i suppose i cant chrome it, if i get it polished do they come up nice at all

easy , follow the instructions on the caustic soda , do it outside and wear proper chiemical gloves and goggles , or you could be well pissed off. use autosol polish on the alloy and it will come up like chrome

This is a picture of my Pro Class Power disc, it was blue originally, I stripped it using Caustic Soda and then buffed it using my polishing wheel.

use a dremmel or buffing wheel to get chrome like finish, i usually start with autosol, then peek, then t-cut then a decent wax

went to get my SR chainring stripped at the metal finishing department at my work before i get them to anodise it gold (for my AERO PRO) :smitten:
apparently they are not annodised but painted with coloured laquer :wtf:
so i have been advised to nitromorse it before i take it back for plating!!! :santa_angry: :santa_angry:
