take it to a place that does chroming if you can ,they will reverse the chroming procedure.
and its cheap and quick.

do not get the chrome blasted off, you will end up with a fu'cked frame, take it to the chromers, where they use a process which is the reverse of the plating process to get it off.....

again............DO NOT BLAST

it'll cost ya 15 quid or so to get it chemically stripped.

If it is stripped using the wrong media it can leave the frame pitted all over which makes it very hard to get a good finish.  It's always best to get it stripped at a chromers as they use a electro-chemical process which unless they fook it up completely (remember that National Pro?) leaves no damage on the metal  :daumenhoch:.

I think it depends on what they use to blast it, I understand from my mate who does powder coating that "media blasting" is the best way, i think it's a less agressive material so doesn't damage the metal :daumenhoch:

I just stripped a frame that was painted, but previously media blasted with walnut shell, barely any damage to the steel at all, thats the way forward :daumenhoch:
