ive just got the titan mini frame through from steve first thing i need to sort out is this weird bb size.
the hole on the frame is 38mm with cups that would take bearings 34mm.

the actual hole on this frame is 38mm,the outside diameter of the bearing is 34mm

these were very special and very expensive frames, made of titanium and arc welded under water
dont think titanium was used on any other bmx bikes then.

even the headset's are different bloody 7/8 on these

the inside diameter of a euro BB shell is 34mm but the bearing will be smaller than that depending on what size cups you use

Do you have the cups still? If you do, what is the OD of the cup?

I have no idea either then.

Those cups should take normal euro sized bearings, but I have no idea what the cups are ?  ??? :-\

lol, sure is bud!  :daumenhoch:

i think spanish are the last 10 years invention.

yeah they were developed by Fly Bikes, hence the "spanish" bit, but i'm sure there have been quite a few different variants out there at some stage.

I have no idea either then.

Hey if the cups aren't threaded, isn't there another setup which is kinda like the profile evolution BB that actually threaded into itself from each side?

IASC or something???

Google time, I reckon...

Have a search for 'Threadless Bottom Bracket', that is the kind that threads to itself.  I know YST do one but I am unsure of the sizes.

I saw that one as well and assumed the other was the same size - but as you've shown, it's not.

I definately have no clue and Sheldon Brown's website can't help either  :-\

Steve is selling the BB that came with it in the For Sale section "half price to the buyer of the Titan" or words to that effect  :daumenhoch:

the reason why the bb ismt a standard size, is that it titanium tubeing
note, the smmooth bb i have came with the powerlite i buyed

note the bearings will be imperial, not metric
the spingle is.62 of an inch
15.90mm
-say 16mm
so you need to go 16mm to the id of the cups the bearings need to be as wide as the cups

note, a eurobb wont fit cos ti isnt available that size, or guage to cut a thread in
-us bb size either'

the cup is specufic to a stock size beasring to spindle - else it wouldn't be there - at that size i.d. :LolLolLolLol:
