Title: Check out this rare beast.......
Post by: revcore on February 06, 2008, 09:24 AM
Here's a rare beast that most of you may have never seen before let alone even knew existed. It belongs to a friend of mine. Unsure of the year but it is in near mint condition with almost no marks on the drop outs. The frame and forks are perfect and still have the original decals on them. It currently has GT sealed hubs with hollow axles laced to Araya 7X's and has original Tioga Comp III tires.
Take a look at the pics........

The dropouts look like they're welded on upside down.

That is interesting..Never knew they had a cruiser...I agree with Mike though about those drop outs...
Is your mate building that up or thinking of parting with it?
 (I'd be interested in the wheels/tyres if it's splitting.. ;) )

He's not selling any of it which is a shame.....If he was selling it I'd have first option to buy it. >:D

Nice, not seen one before that's for sure. Do you know any of the history on the thing? Factory only bike etc~?

Agreed the drop out looks like an akizu welded upside down.

they didn't actually produce a 24" . i know they had factory riders on 24" but no production bikes. it's either one of them or a fakey.

I'm happy to say it is 100% legit and I believe they are the original factory decals on the seat stays.

Is the frame number stamped on the inside or outside of the dropouts?

I went and had another look at the DB cruiser today.....The top tube measures 20" from center to center. Also noticed there is no serial number anywhere on the frame.
