Title: Mongoose pads
Post by: Samsub01 on February 08, 2008, 11:24 PM
Hi there
I've got myself a replica 30th anni Mongoose Supergoose. Just wondering if anyone knows if the original bikes came with padsets back in the day, and if so what ones!
Cheers for any help guys,
Scotty

they did make padsets , they are the vinyl padset type and can be expensive ,TBH that is not a reproduction of the original but more of a homage to it ,among other things  the original would have had a mongoose gold stem rather than the sr type on yours , also the forks are from a post 82 mongoose in style, i could go on but i think it looks supercool just as it is ,leave as is and if you want the original then build another

Would you believe the mongoose stem bent on the first ride, checked inside and it was a rusty as hell! Glad I had the SR stem in the garage, think it looks a bit better to be honest. I'll have a rethink, I agree it looks cool with all the chrome on show
