Bloody hell! When did this BMX malarky become so difficult? Thought I'd have a quick go on the Daggers track today seeing as I haven't ridden round one in about 15 years. I know I've got a bit of a cold but I thought I was going to have a coronary well before the line. Gonna dose up on Max Strength Lemsip and see how I feel in the morning. Will be there but only 50/50 about racing.
-
get your arse out there and race you poof. :LolLolLolLol:
-
I played 45 mins football this morning.... legs like friggin' jelly afterwards...
A goodnights sleep is required before the treck down south in the early hours.... :buck2: :buck2: :buck2:
See you at the gate fella's.... :daumenhoch:
-
It's still Saturday and the excuses have started already :LolLolLolLol:, Longun what was you riding today as I was there for awhile???

how high is that seat post hahahaha

Those mid/late-90s Kastans were quality. I had one of their Cro-Moly cruisers around 97/98. I've got some Kastan cro-moly cranks on the thrash bike DK I keep in America. Keep meaning to take them off but never get round to it.

Have you now? Mmmmm. ;D
As for the seatpost height - I'm 6'4" - it's about right for just riding around, I'd lower it a bit for racing.
-
Nice Kastan, you don't many of those in the UK.

Well.. We is on our way home.. Long long day.. But absolutely worth it... We didnt let ourselves down. Russ took 2nd in the A final behind Zippy. Dibly made the A final as well.. Awesome for his second ever Bmx meeting.. I made the B final and took 2nd.. So happy with that.. Bof raced new school.. I will let him explain his results.. :buck2:

Just started on my photos (450+ so will take a while!) but just a quick sample to prove Martin Parker is still as rad as ever.

Martin is the b*ll*x and the 25+ final was he's :4_17_5: felt for mart today he was flying through his moto's,quarters, semi's and was easily leading the final until being completely and utterly T-BONED to death ??? was the most aggresive peace of riding i've seen in a long time :knuppel2: bully boy tactics and desperation were used to beat ya mr parker ;)
-

And pre-registing on THURSDAY ::)
And you made KGB Matt happy :daumenhoch:
-
Top pix Mr Longun, can't wait to see more, I only started doing that jump yesterday after about 15 years, I'm a tad bashed up after that crash, but what a day - a MASSIVE thank you to The Daggers Crew, another superb meeting. Spillers mate, made me laugh, when the wife told me what that first aider was saying to you. You was only getting my bike. :LolLolLolLol:
-
A big, big thanks to everyone at BADBMX. You guys pulled out all the stops today to run a slick first rate meeting of 160+ riders.
Really enjoyed lining up against the big guns like Shaun Andrews, Steve Williams, Daddy Whyte, Miles, Martin, Paul Bennett, Warlock, Tony Slater, Jules Allen, John Stockwell, etc, but I wouldn't like to do it every week. I'm shattered now.
Who took Martin out in the final?
-
It was a cracking day again today. Well done to all involved at daggers for running the meet and being so gracious in defeat. Well done to all the Braintree riders for taking the trophy home to where it belongs.
Braintree no.1 BMX Club in Essex :4_17_5:

Braintree no.1 BMX Club in Essex :4_17_5:
The ONLY club in Essex I thought. 'nham's in Greater London surely!! ;) Sounds like a great day. What a turnout!! Look forward to the pictures. Humps
-
It was a brilliant little series. You guys should definitely run it again next year. With some minor tweaks to the format, it could become a great BMX tradition.
-
Big thanks to everyone involved in the organisation of today, special mention to Sonic for persuading me to ignore my cold and race (suffering a bit now :( ) . I'm sorry we're gonna be lacking a bit in the way of OS photos, but I can't race and take photos - yet!
There's 160 odd photos uploading to Flickr as I type.
-
Was a good day :daumenhoch: even though i bashed meself up :crazy2: thought i'd show off and do a superman front flip down the first straight :( god bless body armour........then thought i'd throw myself at the compatition, throw some elbows then throw myself over the f**kin bars again :D my race top is ripped to shreds and my trousers are ripped to shreds and i f**kin loved it :LolLolLolLol:

Who took Martin out in the final?
It was Shaun Andrews who pulled the big move, not really a T-Bone but a big move anyway. It put me into 2nd for a bit but had no momentum and Stockwell got past.
Cheers to all who showed, twas a really good day if a little drawn out. Syd and me had a blast. :D

Cheers

That's alright then Jules, Shaun's one of my lads ;)
-
Quarters in 25+, how mental was that!!! My legs feel all funny now, I blame entering the pro open, then getting tagg-teamed by Jules and Stockwell. :D
I nearly ran over Shaun and Martins heads as they tryed to fall under my wheels.... That wasn't a T bone, it was just racing move, and I saw it from about a foot away. I've done much worse than that in the past, just ask daddy whyte. ;D

Anyone got any pics of the Old School? :D
-
Beard, I'm sure OSS queen will have some pics of the OS, also DE Photo's who where there will have pics of the OS as well. Will post a link for DE once they have uploaded them :daumenhoch:
What an excellent days racing. Watching Formula 1, 25+ & the Pro open reminded me of racing back the 80's, with all the heavey hitters out there going for blood >:D And the atmosphere around the track was buzzing.
Also Congrats to Braintree on taking the 2008 Pride of Essex Challenge, look forward to getting it on again next year!!!
The lad Moose who left at the end of the day in an ambulance just has a badly bruised knee thanksfully!!

-
I know Ratty and Nicki have lots of pictures of yesterday which Nicki took but she is having major problems with photo bucket and her internet connection ... I'm sure they'll be worth the wait though :4_17_5:
Was a great day yesterday. DE photographs even took a picture of poor Chloe been carried away on the stretcher!!!! Cant say as I want to rush to buy that ???
Its great to hear Paul that both the lads who got ambulanced away yesterday are only bruised and nothing broken :daumenhoch: The first aiders really did earn their money yesterday didnt they :)
-
Thanks for the pictures!!!
A couple of crackers of me in there being a very naughty boy in the berms! :2gunsfiring_v1:
-
As cheif ref for the day can't say your moves went on noticed Mr Kirby, but they where no worse than some others being thrown down!! But all just on the right side of legal :LolLolLolLol:
-
Get the oldschool pics up :)

Some good pics of me and Mad Dog level pegging it down the first straight, not bad considering he had a tooth less on the front. :LolLolLolLol:

Russ was running a tooth lower than me on the front as well so that must have been quite a good start from me or a bad one from Russ.
Certainley left the others in our wake though didn't we.
Which race was stopped at the first berm, the 2nd or 3rd moto?
-
3rd... I got a belting start as well... 3rd out of turn 1... :D I nearly ran the dude with the flag over... :knuppel2: :knuppel2:
