what is the most effective way to polish up a chrome frame?
-
Autosol, I reckon
-
maas chrome (metal) polish is amazing.its american but dont hold that against it.
its still hard to find in the uk,but search its well worth it.vintage car restorers use it.
-
This has been argued before ::)
heres my take on it
Autosol , good but harsh. takes away a lot of metal and can leave a used frame looking very nickely. very good on alloy and gets a mirror finnish witha bit of effort.
Peek , good cleaner and polishes well , not too harsh and widely acclaimed in the custom car world. lot of effort needed but not bad.
dremmell / polishing mops, blocks of polish. This is the most effective , IF you dont zing the frame with the chuck :idiot2:
Wonder chrome. my favourite , seems to clean the chrome without removing a load of metal and gets the dirt off and shines the chrome very well. comes with a liquid sealer that works very well and cant reccomend this stuff enough, this stuff has out polished all the above with ease.
OR
take it to a polisher, and see a new bike come back.
