Title: if my bike tkes a 22mm seatpost , then what mm should the seatclamp be ?

just looking at geting a new clamp but there seems to be different sizes ones about ?

what size do i need ??

when the change over happened in bmx in the 90's the smaller size was always labelled as 7/8ths and the larger size 1".
