Title: Painting on chrome - anyone done it?
Post by: the_wheelie_king on February 20, 2008, 11:40 PM
Hello all. I've just got my lovely Hutch XL-24 f&f back from the chromers and it looks stunning. However, before I slap some fresh stickers on I'm toying with the idea of a coat of candy apple red over the chrome. I know in hot rodding circles that you can get candy paint that is translucent and designed to go over the top of chrome for a really deep finish. Has anyone tried this? And if not, what's the best way to get to a perfect candy red, a la Hutch Judge? Cheers, Bob
