Hi again bud..... I believe it's a fluted seatpost......and yep I'm after one as well :)

a fluted layback? i've never seen one of those. cool.

yeah aws deffo a fluted layback, i' think i'll have to have a look arround, i may still have it somewhere!!!

ok thats that theory out the window. i thought the idea of the fluted post was to make stonger so it would not bend.

I had a haro fluted layback seatpost that I bought from US ebay about a year ago.

so they are out there

Curiously did it go for over $200, and if so did you get free shipping?

Yep, me think Haro too! Have one on o/s ride & do see em coming up on the bay, tho usually from Thailand with free postage & luvulongtime etc.  :)

hi, i used to have a fluted snake post, rad.

Nice Mongoose Decade, not sure about the stand tho.
