how mint are they :LolLolLolLol:

I dont know the show, but from the sounds of it the big guy could do with spending less time in his expensive cars and more time walking. One lap of a BMX track and he got taken away in an ambulance! "Get some exercise mate"
-
The words flogged to death spring to mind.

I'm a big looptail Ripper fan, but 29'ers are just wrong :(
-
I like the idea of 29'ers but a 29" Ripper just looks wrong.
I like 29" single sped bikes as they're very practical, but are an aquired taste. :LolLolLolLol:
-
Aren't 29'ers a bit big for you, Si ;)
-
Too big for a bit taller than Spen like me but I still appreciate their purpose.
I've just bought a really cool urban bike, I'll post some pics tonight. :daumenhoch:
-
didn't Gary Fisher bring a 29er out about 8 years ago? never took on then so i'm sure it won;t now :-\
-
29'ers are quite popular amongst the MTB XC crowd at the moment. Like Zippy says, they're an acquired taste. And definitely more suited to taller riders and riders who don't like to get air under their wheels.
It's a very silly idea for a BMX bike, but I'm guessing that Ripper 29'er wasnt intended to be a serious BMX bike, more like a marketing opportunity to make a celeb a bike.
-
yeah rob gary fisher did do a 29'er ??? but it never took off, i think he was trying to re-invent something he was part of inventing in the first place, if that makes sense :LolLolLolLol:

yeah i thought he did......didn't he actually call it 'the 29er'? legend in the MTB world but i've not seen too many (if any) out on the trails?
-
You'd be surprised how popular 29'ers have become/are becoming in MTB'ing.
They don't interest me in the slightest though.
My local bike shop got one in as a demo bike. The owner took it out and tried to bunnyhop something that would have been easy on a 26", but said he fell off on the 29'er cos it just didn't like getting airborne.
As I said, good for tall blokes who don't like getting air.
-
I've got a couple of 29" mtn bikes in my shop and you'd be surprissed how many people stop and look at them.
-
they do nothing for me, 26inch is fine on a mtb,, nice and stable, if its not broke and all that jazz ;)
-
I agree but it's nice to see cycling evolving and seeing the different paths it takes.
It wasn't long ago that you either had a road bike or a mountain bike, but now the options are a lot more varied.

Makes the 20" look like a pit bike.

I'm the same except it's one hybrid instead of 1 mountain bike and 1 road bike. I do have 10 bmx's though :2funny:
-
there not going into production just a one off for the Rob and Big show just thought they were funny :LolLolLolLol:

oh how your going to have a chuckle at me :-[
glanced at the pic
thought ok , a group shot of bikes made for the 2 fellas
read a bit and couldnt decide if it was the 29" wheel size or a 29" top tube
looked harder at the pics
looked to see if another pic was waiting to load , kinda a side on of a 29er
then it twigged after i spied a pedal
those arnt cruisers and a 12" for a child , thats a 20" :-[ :-[ :2funny: :-[ next to a group of 29ers
ive seen 29" cross country bikes but those look massive
-
Lol The 20" PK Looks like a lil ripper compared to those 29"ers
-
"12,"20,"29,
shopper,hybrid,roadbike next?
i think its fairly safe to say by this point that the legendary "pk ripper" name is fooked,
like a corporate rape victim left on the roadside, make-up all smudged and pants round its ankles, degraded, feeling worthless........
"pk" what?
SE racing,
you guys suck.
