Title: Coloured headsets - WARNING
Post by: Frosty on February 22, 2008, 12:02 PM
I have paid the price of not logging in to os and v for a few weeks.

I bought 2 red headsets from Kimrums and it turns out they had been rumbled on os for flogging new chrome ones painted by the seller :tickedoff:

Just in case anyone else is waiting on delivery - I have started a paypal dispute so I fully expect some neg feedback again totally outside of my control :2gunsfiring_v1:

sorry to hear that you've been mugged off, but looking at the ebay listing, i don't fancy your chances of a refund.
He states they are red and they are indeed red (albeit sprayed) and he does say all items sold as is.

All i can say is that you put it down to bad experience and this is a warning to everyone else who was thinking about buying some.

there are too many con artists on ebay at the moment, so the best thing we can do is to all stick together and warn each other of these rip off merchants.

PS I hope i am wrong and you do get your money back.  :daumenhoch:

Trev,

A number of folk on the sites over the pond have called him out and secured refunds, his latest listings clearly state that he has painted the headsets though!! I am quite happy to put things down to experience especially if I ever misread or interpret auctions etc, just in this instance the guy clearly knew what he was up to.

Irrespective of the description I have not received anything anyway and the tracking number supplied is one of the paypal ones that does not mean the item has actually been sent, just had a label produced!!

Matt,

I think you are right about Tange coloured steel headsets although the Hatta MXII was made in colours like below:

The guy has agreed to refund - he says he only started to candy coat them when the anno alloy ones started getting daft money. He realises now that the ads need making clearer so that folk know exactly what they are getting.
